Customization: Making Your Newell Your Own

Newell offers more opportunities for customization than any other motorhome manufacturer. That's because most of the limitations that apply to building a production motorhome or bus conversion simply do not apply when it comes to building a Newell.

Floorplan Options

The design of your Newell typically starts with the development of a floorplan that meets your preferences.

There are three basic ways to create your floorplan:

1. Your floorplan can be based on an existing Newell floorplan design, with minor or major revisions you request.
2. Your floorplan can combine the features of two or three existing floorplans.
3. We can create your floorplan from scratch if the other two options don't meet your requirements. Although designing a completely new floorplan is the most challenging and expensive approach and is seldom necessary, we do offer and accommodate this choice.

Your Newell Chassis and Body

The chassis and body of your Newell are manufactured in-house to your order. There is no fixed, standard chassis design and no limited list of options. Once your floorplan has been defined, we work with you to determine the specifications of the chassis and body that will best suit your floorplan. For instance, although Newells are typically 45 feet long, you can choose any length from approximately 38 feet to 45 feet. In some cases, we can even build coaches longer than 45 feet, such as when they will be operated in countries that permit longer-length coaches.

Other features of the body and chassis that can be customized include the locations of doors, the size and location of slide-outs, and the size of picture windows. In addition, bay storage areas can be expanded to accommodate large items such as a golf cart or small boat.

The Interior

Designing the interior of your Newell is similar to choosing the decor and furnishings of a fine, custom home. Because you have so many materials to choose from, your Newell will be a unique expression of your personality and style.

Our interior decorator will help you select the materials for your coach interior. You can choose cabinetry that is either a solid color or wood-grain laminate, or a rich, genuine wood veneer. You will also select coordinating fabrics, leather colors and fine carpets, all of which are of the highest quality.

Entertainment Systems

The audio/video systems that are available as standard and optional equipment include high-definition video and high-quality sound-reproduction equipment. We can also accommodate your requests for specific equipment, such as a particular home-theater receiver; a unique, large-format plasma or LCD television monitor; or a high-definition digital video recorder.

Special Requests

Newell customers often have special requests for cabinet spaces, galleys, closets and other storage areas. We are happy to accommodate them. For example, you might want to add something as simple as an additional long-hang closet space, or something more unusual, such as a built-in kennel for Fido.

You might prefer a galley that is large and well-equipped, with a full-sized, residential oven and four-burner cooktop. Or you might choose a smaller galley in order to create more space to accommodate your other preferences.

The Ultimate Expression of Your Personal Style

Are there any limits to customization? Certainly. Because we stand firmly behind the quality and performance of our coaches, we must have the resources and ability to execute a request properly, at a reasonable cost, and with an expectation of high reliability.

But because Newell motorcoaches are designed and constructed one at a time, you can rest assured that yours will be built to your unique set of specifications. Your finished coach will be an expression of your own personal style, needs and preferences.
